Pawel,I agree, pretty good. In fact after seeing this I have decided to hold off indefinitely on posting my Un di all'azzurro spazio on youtube. How much training do you think this guy has had? Patrick

Like Pawel siad, other than a few hiccups along the way, a nice voice. With more training this guy could be great! The high notes are already quite impressive. I especially like how the vibrato becomes especially beautiful in his top voice, though his Bb's were very flat in the Chella mi creda.

woo nice...i wish i could sound like that! he did look very stiff though...but good sound recording! I have my first lesson tomorow with someone who sang at the MET...im gonna hand him this clip n be like "make me like that." lol spoon feed me please. Thanx.
Hey nice voice! Only thing I would mention is that u seem to have a LOT of tension in your left arm and ur head is bending a little to ur right... Walk, dance, jump while singing or swim, wutever that'll take that tension away!

Stephen O'Mara. He sang a few High Cs off the bat to demonstrate something about technique and I bascially had to cover my ears..yes thats how big his voice is in person.

what a pretty voice...full and rich. I would never sound like that. lol but DUDE that arm is VERY Distracting...y let such a small problem deter from the beauty of ur instrument. Get rid of it sir.

After seeing this, his,"Should I," which accompanied his first post on youtube seems incongruous. It appears as though he already,"had." At any rate, a very well sung version by an accomplished performer. A fine voice with easy production.

Just like before, he is horribly flat on the Bb! Horribly! Also, the voice was extremely constricted for the Bb. Good voice though. He looks about 40, does anyone know how old he is?

There are technical problems with the recording. Listen to the orchestra at the outset of the clip to see what I'm getting at. So we must be aware that what we hear may not be a very accurate representation of his sound. That being said, his voice does not sound constricted to me at any time during the performance. But, what do I know? I'm just an amateur. Patrick

Listen to his Bb's at the end of the Recondita and the Ch'ella mi creda. He isn't even close to the pitch on both Bb's. His other high notes are quite good actually and the singing is ok overall. What I mean by constriction is that the top Bb's aren't as loud as his middle and passagio. If the voice is not constricted, the higher one sings, the louder it will become. On his Bb in the Recondita it is as though someone placed something in front of his mouth and blocked the sound.

I'm sorry but I don't know enough about music to identify a tone by musical notation. Also, I really don't qualify to discuss the technical notion of constriction either. IMHO Recondita Armonia is his least worthy effort. Having heard it sung many times by many different artists I can tell that at times he is off pitch. In addition, at times he appears to be gasping for breath to complete/begin a phrase. I hear a muffled sound at no time during his Recondita. Overall I rate his Funiculi,Funicula his best performance by far. Like a different singer! Youtube Tenor, If you are reading this commentary, I hope you take no offense. I enjoy greatly what you have posted on youtube, your singing included. Patrick
